Well here are some (not very) fascinating facts about the greatest game show that is 'The Weakest Link':

• The show was devised by Fintan Coyle (a former London doctor) and friend Cathy Dunning (a comedienne)
• It has been said that they receive £4,500 for each edition of the show broadcast
• The first show was aired on BBC2 in the UK on 14 August 2000
• The show first aired in the NBC network in the USA on 16 April 2001
• The format of the show has been sold to over forty counties including USA, Australia, Germany, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Portugal, South Africa, Israel, Turkey, Spain, Latin America, Sweden, Canada and Ireland
• The show is expected to generate as much as £30 million for the BBC
• The most money won on the show so far was $167,500 which was reached on the November 26, 2001 USA broadcast, which was a special celebrity edition featuring cast members from four Star Trek series playing for their favorite charities. The money was won by LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge from "The Next Generation").
